Here is some information to help get us started this school year:
Class Assignments: If you are wondering which class your child will be in this year, please watch School Cash Online. Hopefully, the information will come to you before the end of the day on Friday.
- Students in Grade 1 to 8 start school on Tuesday, September 5th. The bell rings at 8:35 am in the morning, and the students will be dismissed at 3:05 pm.
- New kindergarten families have been contacted by their child’s teacher regarding interviews set for Tuesday, September 5th for a classroom visit before they begin school on either September 7th or 8th, as per instructions from their teacher.
- Senior Kindergarten students start school on Wednesday, September 6th.
On the first day of school, please park at the church (off Flamingo Drive) to drop off your children to avoid traffic congestion and accidents as students come onto school property. We do have three buses that will be dropping off students. Students will enter the schoolyard (blacktop area) to find their teacher. For safety and supervision reasons, we ask that only parents of grade one students be on the blacktop on the first day, as this is their first day with the older students. All other parents can wave from the grass area. The playground will not be open that morning before school. Please leave pets at home, as some students may have allergies, and some may be afraid. If students ride scooters or their bicycles, they must be walked onto school property (for safety reasons), and please make sure to bring a lock.
As we have experienced, please understand that class placements can change depending upon the Ministry of Education or Board Directives and fluctuations in the school population. With your trust in our professional judgment, we will continue to provide all students with the best possible learning environment.

School Supplies: Please do not go out and purchase $ 100 worth of school supplies. All students need is a sturdy backpack and a pair of indoor shoes for the first day of school. Anything else can be purchased AFTER being in the classroom and seeing what may be required. Most of the school supplies will be provided by the school.
Agendas: Thank you for the generosity of our Catholic School Advisory Council (Parent Council). Agendas will be provided to students in grades 1 to 8 at no cost.
Bus Transportation: Please keep an eye on the Student Transportation Website. Please visit stswr.ca for the most up-to-date information.
Lunch Ordering: The Lunchbox is now open for ordering through School Cash Online. Delivery starts the first week of school (September 6th). Wednesday is Pizza Day, and Thursday is The Lunch Lady.
As always, please feel free to contact the main office with any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation! We look forward to seeing you next week!
